>While visiting my hometown there was no question I was going to visit Hanson’s Farm. When growing up the farm stand was a bit smaller and low tech (see below). My sister had the pleasure of working the farm stand and wouldn’t recognize the place now. The Hanson family has been farming the land since 1938 and before the new ice cream stand they were known for producing the best corn. The corn is still the best, but now with the addition of the ice cream stand they are becoming the place to be on a hot summer day. As an added bonus the dairy farm is next door so kids and adults can visit and pet the cows. So, the next time you find yourself on the South Shore of Massachusetts put Hanson’s on your list!
